Some
samurai swords are well over 900 years old and while most have value in
excess of $500, some can be valued as high as $25,000. Factors that
influence value are Condition, Length, Maker, Carving, Quality of
Fittings (sword furniture like handle, scabbard, tsuba, etc) and
Originality. By some estimates, there are over 1,000,000 japanese
swords in the United States, the majority of which came to this country
as war souvenirs following the years after WWII.
I seek all types if Japanese swords, regardless of condition. It is a passion that I have had for over 15 years.
